As many performance car enthusiasts may have already heard, Audi is set to end production of its RS6 at the end of September. In order to mark the occasion the team at Cargraphic have been working hard on some modifications which will give the vehicle a boost.
As if the performance of the 4F Series 426kw/ 580 PS engine wasn’t enough, it will now pack a 489 kW/ 665 PS punch. This equates to an additional of 15% of power, which will turn the Audi into a more impressive beast.
The engineers at cargraphic have also developed some three-part GT-R 21-inch rims and a brand new stainless steel exhaust system, which will add to the visual appeal of the motor. So much noise is generated by this exhaust that it breaks the German laws on noise pollution. The glorious 10.5×21” wheels are absolutely oozing with class and can come as part of a package with /3OR21 tyres.
The exhausts have been produced at Cargraphic’s factory in South West England. The team have put a great deal of effort into ensuring that the mufflers and catalytic converters are absolutely top quality. Potential customers will be happy to discover that the system is made from rust resistant stainless steel. Drivers will have the option of optimally refilling and emptying the car’s combustion chamber after taking it for a spin.
It is a win – win situation as these exhausts also enhance the attractiveness of the vehicle. The Audi customer has the choice over whether to modify the RACE design with 80 millimetre pipes and two oval exhausts. Those which have been given a lick of black enamel look really special.
In related news, the new Audi A6, complete with super V8 engine, is due to come on sale at some point during 2011. This vehicle will be doing battle with the Alpina B5 Bi-turbo BMW M5, set for release in the near future.
The A6 is being developed with safety in mind, as evidenced by the solid structure and impact protection. Aluminium will play a major part in the construction of this car, alongside steel and foam reinforcements. This would seem to be part of a general push for environmental friendliness as the vehicle will produce fewer harmful emissions than previous models. The driver’s wallet will also benefit as fuel consumption has been reduced.
