As we lead the way in the U.K. and Europe in bespoke Stainless Steel Exhaust manufacture, many have tried to copy us and some have tried to pass off inferior products as a genuine Longlife.
In order to help ensure that you only have the best, we have detailed below how you can tell if your exhaust system is a genuine Longlife product. If you find that your exhaust system does not have all of the features below, please call Longlife Head Office on 01308 422282.
The tailpipe
Every Longlife tail comes branded with the Longlife logo as shown above. If your tail doesn't have this branding on it then it may not be a genuine product!
The Silencer
Every Longlife Silencer has the brand Logo etched onto it. There should be no other branding on the silencer casing.
Welded ends
All Longlife silencers have welded ends as opposed to rolled ends. This ensures that the silencer is completely gas tight and will give the best possible performance and silencing properties. They are made from T304 Grade Stainless Steel which means we are able to guarantee our exhausts forever - even transferrable if you sell the car!
Because we guarantee our product forever, we need to have complete quality control on all of our silencers. By having a non-genuine product, you are not benefiting from the Longlife warranty.
Branded Tubing
At Longlife we only use the very best T304 Grade Stainless Steel tubing. To ensure the best is always used, we have our brand name etched a number of times onto each length of tube. If you can't see the Longlife name on your exhaust system, it may be an inferior quality material!
Job cards
Before we start a job, we always discuss the customer needs in detail and produce a job card. This helps the fitter to understand exactly how he should build the system to meet your expectations. When the details of the exhaust are agreed, we will ask you to sign the job card to finalise the specs. Should you wish to have a copy of the job card for your own records we can provide this although all job cards are permanently stored on our computer system.
Invoice
Every Longlife Exhaust system should come complete with the correct Longlife invoice. Along with this you'll also receive the guarantee sheet which will ensure that your exhaust system is guaranteed forever. If you don't have both of these documents then your Longlife Exhaust may not be properly guaranteed.
